Julia Ruszkiewicz received an award in the competition accompanying the 21st INTERPRERTATIONS 2022 for directing the best television show of the WFDiF “Teatroteka” series for “Hunting”. We present the profile and achievements of the winner.

Julia Ruszkiewicz is a graduate of screenwriting at Camerimage Film School and directing at the Film School. Krzysztof Kieślowski of the University of Silesia in Katowice.

Her graduation film “Duck Season” received several awards (including the Grand Prix at the Short Film Festival in Lille in France, for the best film (feature) at the Zlin Dog Festival in the Czech Republic, the Golden Tadpole at the Camerimage festival) and had competition screenings at over 50 international festivals.

She co-directed with Karolina Bielawska the documentary “Warsaw for the taking”, for which they received the Golden Hobby Horse at the 50th Krakow Film Festival.

In 2021, she produced “Hunting” at the Television Theater based on the play by Ishbel Szatrawska as part of the Teatroteka series.
