In the work on the XXII edition of the National Festival of Directing Art INTERPRETATIONS, a special committee advises on artistic matters.
Among its members is Ms. Dorota Buchwald.
Dorota Buchwald is a theatrologist, practitioner and theoretician of theater documentation, graduate of the Department of Theater Knowledge at the State Higher School of Theater Arts in Warsaw (1985), 1989-1990 literary secretary at the Dramatic Theater in Warsaw, 1990-1997 documentalist and editor of publications at the Union of Artists of the Polish Stages, 1997-2003 head of the Theater Documentation Department at ZASP, 2003-2014 head of the Laboratory of Theater Documentation at the Theater Institute, 1995-2014 editor of the monthly magazine “Dialog”, editor of theater publications and books, author of texts on theater and talks printed in “Antena”, “Theater”, “Dialog”, “Notatnik Teatralny” and “Pamiętnik Teatralny”, from 2014-2018 director of the Zbigniew Raszewski Theater Institute. Zbigniew Raszewski, originator and editor of the electronic Encyclopedia of Polish Theater, manager and participant of scientific projects and grants on economics and management in artistic institutions, playwriting, theater architecture, reception of William Shakespeare’s work, member of the Polish Society for Theater Research.
The commission advises the organizers of the INTERPRETATIONS festival in the selection of the titles of plays in the competition for the Konrad Laurel, master performances and in the preparation of the program of accompanying events.
The composition of the new advisory committee of the INTERPRETATIONS festival also includes Mr. Michał Centkowski and Ms. Katarzyna Niedurny.
The upcoming edition of INTERPRETATIONS is scheduled between November 18 and 24, 2024.
