During the festival we will also present five radio plays of the Polish Radio Theater. They were directed by young directors too. Directof of the best radio play will receive a special award.
Besides competition TV theatre shows, the Interpretations Festival will feature two shows by Grzegorz Jarzyna and Krzysztof Warlikowski brought to TV. Compared to their theatre plays, the two artists have produced just few plays of this kind, which is quite regrettable.
We will present at the festival a set of five radio plays with scripts largely based on documentary materials, related to 11 November 1918, a date of great importance to the Poland’s contemporary history.
Documentary is the most important genre invented by cinema. It is the salt of cinema. However, if you ask what documentary is a random candidate for the prestigious faculty of film direction, then… Everyone knows what a feature film is, yet few know what documentary is. Do you know that?
The programme of the Interpretations Festival of the Art of Directing showcases the works by young film directors. As part of our film section, you will watch si shorts (feature films) selected and recommended by the acclaimed Polish film director and teacher Michał Rosa.
